Small kitchen remodel

At the beginning of my “blogging” journey – and I use that term loosely – I said I would do my best to write often and regularly. Well, when I get busy I get very narrow-minded and the first thing to drop by the wayside is writing. I’m apologizing for that but also posting our most recent project that kept me away for a month.

This is a remodeled kitchen in New Bern. Our clients had definite ideas of what they wanted to do and the layout that would work for them; but most importantly, they requested that we re-use their existing kitchen cabinets. We worked with them for a couple months and achieved the kitchen of their dreams.

This is not the ever-popular open concept design that everyone favors now. This is a small kitchen that makes use of the space and is perfectly proportioned to the woman of the house! If you cannot tell the original cabinets from the new ones that we made, then we did our job!

Now for the learning: this fabulous couple is retired and they know this is their forever home. If there is a possibility you’ll move, you may not want to be so specific with your remodel plans. Remember when you sell a home you have to appeal to a wide audience, but if you are like our clients and are designing the home of your dreams, GO FOR IT!

I consult, design, and remodel spaces that reflect the homeowner’s lifestyle and budget by getting the cost question out of the way and really listening to what my client wants and how much they have set aside for their project.
