It used to be that designers looked to Pantones Color of the Year, once a year. Yes, once a year the bell would toll and everyone waited to see what color was going to come out on top. Now each paint company comes out with their own color of the year and it happens every 20 minutes, (or so it seems anyway) and then add to that what realtors, Zillow and Realtor.com are saying will sell your home the quickest and for the most money.
That being said, I found this article interesting not because of the added home value or the survey of homebuyers, but for the colors they chose. It just so happens to align with what I am seeing, as well as my own personal preferences. I love “nature” colors and I think people are coming back to it because of the sense of calm it brings to your home. And let’s face it, in this crazy world we live in, we need some zen in our lives, why not let your home be that place.
