You want to make a big impact in a room, you don’t want to paint the walls (maybe you’re renting or maybe you’re just looking for something a little bit more fun). There are a few companies out there that make removable wall murals. They go up fairly easily and come off without damaging the walls. They come in a variety of designs, everything from maps to landscapes, and at least 2 sizes (from the company I used)/

The wall mural adds color and interest, the rug picks up those same colors without competing with the wall. The couch is a great deep red color and was a secondhand purchase. Both lamps are from antique shops, as is the plant hanger, and the coffee table was a great find from Goodwill. The entire room cost under $500.
